Seriously Fun Times with San Miguel Flavored Beer!

I only drink occasionally (as 1-3x in a year!) because (1) I get allergies and (2) I don't like the taste of alcohol especially beer. But for the sake of fun times and bonding with friends, kampai!!

APPLE OR LEMON?

I recently found out the San Miguel Flavored Beers and guess what, it has Apple flavor! I really like how alcoholic drink nowadays are innovated for the picky drinkers like me. It will be like having your favorite fruit juice but with a kick of alcohol. No more bitter beer! And it actually reminds me of the Cali Shandy drinks when I was younger.

San Miguel's Flavored Beer has less calories and with alcohol content of 3% so it is an absolute thumbs up for me!

I'm always on Team Apple!!

Seriously Fun Times with the Barkada

What can be more fun than a bonding session with friends filled with food, drinks and games, of course!
San Miguel Flavored Beer also came up with these game webisodes that you can do with your friends on your next get together! It really looks fun to do and funny! I bet if me and my Super Friends will do this, we'll  have a riot!

BaskEATball game! It looks a lotta fun! Maybe you can use chips instead of peanuts for the game.

Pass the Message!
These games seem perfect for parties (hello guys! Let's do this on our Christmas party!) and team buildings!
And while your at it, you can video your own barkada doing the challenge and you can even add your own twist to the game! Exciting prizes awaits! You can check out the mechanics here.
San Miguel Flavored Beers + friends + fun challenges is equal to a seriously fun time!!

Hi, Hello!

Hello! I hope you guys are still around (anyone?) April and May have been very busy for me and no complaints from me. I barely have the spare time to post here but it is always on my to-do list to try to squeeze it in. So I'm pretty thankful for today's work downtime.

Watcha been up to guys?

For the past two months, I've been trying to ignite the creative spark within me that's why you can see a lot of calligraphy, rubber stamping, doodling in my instagram feed. I'm not the best at it but I'm pretty happy that I am making things with my hands again. I didn't realize sooner how much I've missed it.

I also took a break from the traveling (and I terribly miss it already) and from the writing/blogging gigs. It was a good detox. I've been blessed enough already last year and it's time to give others the opportunity. I'm hoping to get back to it eventually though. But I'm into prioritizing my blog this time. :)

I've been sick for the past 3 weeks too, down with a persistent cough. I was on an observation phase last week and it turns out I have allergic asthma. I feel quite devastated about it but I'm waiting for confirmation tomorrow. My fingers are still crossed that this isn't chronic or limiting. The past 3 weeks have been testing (a lot of food restrictions and I couldn't even stand everyday dust!), I just hope to get well very soon.

That would be it for now. :) I hope I can update soon with the past happenings (a lot happened, really!)

What's new with you?

Let the Sunshine In!

Because I've been too busy lately, I can only manage to chronicle my daily life thru instagram, hence the inspiration on doing this post. Square photos!

Last month, I was able to visit this very lovely restaurant tucked in the Fort Strip. I was pretty excited because the name has the word "sunshine" on it (I think I have this affinity towards sunshine-y, cheery stuff). :D

Sunshine Kitchen's menu serves a variety. They have pizza, sandwiches, salad and more so it's kinda hard to pinpoint what specific cuisine do they really serve. But I'm taking a shot in the dark and say that they serve Italian and Spanish dishes (but don't take my word for it, I'm no food expert).

Interior-wise, I really loved their yellow chairs (being my favorite color) and wooden tables. It has a very rustic feel to it but very inviting. The large window panels that lets the sunshine flood inside are a plus. Sunny disposition! ♥

So let's move to the fooooood~

We started with the Insalata Italiana and the Marinated Whiting. The salad was so darn fresh and very pretty, yes? It is already a visual treat but light to the stomach (Ack, light to the stomach is not my thing tho, send the carbohydraaaates!!!)

The Marinated Whiting on the other hand is divine. I love my seafood and I love kinilaw. And this is a very posh version of kinilaw. Fresh fish fillet drowned in olive oil and vinegar. Ahhh~ it was so good. I liked how the olive oil didn't overpower the fish and the kick of vinegar was there. I still prefer my home-made kinilaw any day but this doesn't hurt either.

Bring in the carbooooo~!!!

Then we get to business, Rabo del Toro was served. Sounds fancy, mate? Rabo del Toro is oxtail stew in Spanish. This also became my instant favorite. Melt-in-your-mouth meat is bliss. I wish they would add a little spicy kick to it though and more tomatoes, then it'd be perfect.

We also had their Porkychoo Sandwich, which is a new addition to their menu. Pork and a lot of cheese. How can it go wrong?

And to cap off our very happy lunch, a round of Marino Pizza and then the Mangoes Foster.

The Marino pizza was a treat for me as well -- marinara sauce, shrimps, fish, squids and 3 cheese!! It was served with a bulb of roasted garlic, which I passed on since I'm not so fond of garlic. (-__-) But they said it was good!

And the star of our meal was the dessert. Mangoes Foster. It sounds good already. And heck, it tastes even better. The vanilla ice cream, mangoes and the caramelized suger (I suppose) was a sweet melody to my tastebuds. It was definitely a happy ending.

I would surely go back to Sunshine Kitchen if I mind to splurge a little. I would like to try their Paella!

Let me know if you tried their paella! Was it good? What other dishes from Sunshine Kitchen can you recommend? :)

Go Nuts with Cookie Butter Donuts!

Helloooooo~I'm back from the dead busy life! How are you guys?

Kamustahan aside, let me share with you something that's making me crazy for the past few days.

DONUTS.

Yes, you've read it right. Donuts. I grew up loving donuts, Dunkin Donuts (strawberry-filled is my favorite), Mister Donut, then came the Krispy Kreme which I grew tired of easily because it was too sweet, Happy House (for the quick cheap fix), Country Style (TRIPLE CHOCO BOOM!), Cello's too cute to eat letter donuts and the recent oh-wtf-is-this-long-queue of J.Co's Donuts.

And at work, we really do love our turned-into-tradition GoNuts Donuts fix on paydays. My lovely friends at work can attest to this, right guys?

So I got really excited when GoNuts announced that they'll have a new flavor coming up and it's exciting and.. sinfully good.

They weren't kidding.

IT WAS COOKIE BUTTER DONUT. COOKIE. BUTTER. DONUT. It's an immaculate mix of cookies and buttery goodness on a donut. It's like.. cookie dough but better.

It was said to be available last April 1st but I was able to get my fix before Easter. Yes, I was that determined to get my grubby hands on em donuts. And I was too excited that I wasn't able to take good photos to share with you guys. Soooo... this was a good excuse to get myself more of em cookie butter treats!

Thank you GoNuts Donuts! :D

I have no more words as to how good these babies are. You will have to try it yourself. I like em a little chilled! Either chilled or not, it would really make you close your eyes and HMMMMM. Can you imagine yourself already? Haha! Grab some and let me know how you liked it!

You can check out GoNuts Donuts! Facebook page or follow them on Twitter to know where you can your Cookie Butter Donuts fix! ;)

Music is Making Me High, Join Me?

Who here loves music? Raise your hands!

I guess most of us did.

So, here's a little something to make up for my erratic absence --

MUSIC MONDAYS!

I'll be sharing some of my favorite playlists, tracks or bands/musicians in hopes that you might like them too. These playlists keep me company at work and I guess listening to good music is a good way to beat the 'I hate Mondays' feel.

Here's a few you might wanna try listening to this week:

Good Morning! playlist by EyeDoc (his playlists are mostly my favorite on 8tracks)

I Won't Quit 'Cause I Want More by timeunwinds

Perfect Shower Mix!!! by Goodmananthony

Best of Male Vocalists by fermtza (my current favorite!)

Let me know if you liked/loved em! And do share some of your favorite playlists too. ;)

PS. I'm watching The Script's concert on the 31st (all the way up in the GenAd), who's going?

Terimah Kasih Malaysia!

Our trip to KL-Malacca was fun! I am still battling a hangover with their food (Y U SO GOOD?!) Excited to share with you the photos, loads of em!

For now, here's an obligatory photo with the Petronas Twin Towers. Truly a marvel at nighttime!

Thanks to the mother who took the photo! The Petronas is the priority anyway, so I'm blurred! Haha!!

Busy Bee February

Hello friends! Quite a while had passed since I last posted, I guess got caught inside another busy blizzard as January and February went by. Things are happening very fast but I'm not complaining! I'm truly more than blessed with all the things I'm receiving lately. Some parts of my life may not be as well as I hope it would be but God has his ways.

All of these made me realize again that, things happen for a reason. You can't get everything you want but He will give you what you deserve. I guess I'm a testament of it. And I'm very thankful.

A quick round-up of my January and February:

  • Sinulog Festival
  • Being a Travel Factor Coordinator (Join us on our trips!)
  • TF Coordinator's trip in Nagsasa Cove, Zambales
  • I was finally able to use my RPh profession
  • I won in a giveaway!
  • Became an Operational Staff of The InkSquad (yes, I now juggle a handful of jobs but I'm really glad)
  • First TF Trip as a coordinator at the Hot Air Balloon Fest
  • The boy and I just celebrated our 2nd Anniversary and he gave me a cactus for Valentines :")
  • And I just committed into turning myself into a fitter me (it's preposterous for me to give up food, so I'll have to make my fats cry instead)

I guess you can say I've been through a lot! Explains why I'm really busy. But I can't wait to post in the coming days (even just in snippets) and share with you guys my stories. :) What about you? What have you been up to lately? What's keeping you busy?

A Quick Hello

Literally, a really quick Hello to everyone! I hope you guys are doing well and 2013 is serving you well so far. :)

I've been really busy lately (I have quite a handful of jobs now), January was a blur and Febraury is soon to end too. Whew. I owe you guys a lot of kwento!

I'll be at the Hot Air Balloon Fest tomorrow (just look for the purple head! haha!) and i'm praying for a good weather! I want to see em balloons up high! If you see me there, do say hello!

I guess that's all I can indulge into for now!

PS. The boy and I are celebrating our 2nd anniversary this weekend. If you have a second or two, a greeting for him would be very lovely. Thank you! Much love! :D
