Serviced Residences are becoming popular nowadays as it does not only provide the conveniences of staying in a hotel but most of all, it has that homey comfort that we all want to go home to at the end of the day. The Ascott Limited group established its first Citadines-branded service residence in Makati that is perfect for guests staying in Makati.
I was given the opportunity to spend a weekend in Citadines and I must say, how I wish it is my second home! No kidding! I had the most restful stay and the lively vibe of Salcedo Village, packed with its restaurants and hidden finds, made my weekend one of the best staycations I had. Checking in was a breeze and Citadines always goes the extra mile which I highly commend. They have a unique service called the Ascott Host Program, that ensures the residents’ stay is as comfortable as possible and all their needs are well assisted with.
After checking in, I headed straight to my room for the much awaited Friday relaxation! I stayed in a one-bedroom suite and truth to be told, Citadines tops all the places I’ve been through in the Metro so far. And they have the sweetest welcome!
What I really loved about their rooms is that they constructed it high-ceilings, giving the effect of having more space (aside from the very generous space the room already has). Can I just stay here forever? All rooms are equipped with a working kitchen, if I had more time then, I would certainly whip something up in the kitchen.
Food is not a problem when staying in Citadines as it is nestled in a community food pot. They have The Flying Pig downstairs, Chopstop and Army Navy on the right, The Old Spaghetti House on the left, a nearby Ministop and more restaurants nearby.
The next day, we had a quick tour of the facilities of Citadines after hearty breakfast and we’re off to a day exploring Salcedo Village.
After freshening up, we went to check their lap pool. I wasn’t able to take a dip but it was such a relaxing sight especially at nighttime.
Citadines also has a jacuzzi that the residents can use for that well-deserved R&R.
As part of the Salcedo Village, Citadines is committed to being an active part of the community and aims to promote the sense of belongingness wherein residents can experience what Salcedo has to offer.
Salcedo Village has a variety of establishments and services that can cater to a person’s different interests – yoga sessions, dance classes, and other fitness related activities; there are also various cultural, gastronomic, or entertainment services that will make their stay at the Citadines a lot more exciting. And there’s the Salcedo Weekend Market that offers a rich assortment of food and home finds that guests will surely enjoy.
A trip to the Salcedo Weekend Market, Jaime Velasquez Park , opens every Saturday, 7 AM to 2 PM | They had prepared an exciting activity for us, similar to a Scavenger Hunt wherein we were given clues to find a stall.
We had our hearty lunch at XO 46 Bistro (G/F Le Grand Condominium 130 Valero Street), which I highly recommend for the experience. XO 46 takes pride in preserving Filipino traditions and cuisine. All of their servers are dressed in baro’t saya and the fun part, everything is spoken in Tagalog. It was indeed a very unique lunch experience.
After the fun-packed day we had, it was time to head back to Citadines and enjoy the rest of our F, R, & R (fun, rest and relaxation) weekend. To cap off the day, we had an in-room Traditional Filipino Massage care of Serenity Aromatherapy Home Spa. You can ask Citadines to set you a home service massage appointment with them.
If you still got the energy, you can roam around the vicinity of Salcedo at night for a quick grub, meet-up with friends, or head your way to the mall district to catch a film or do some shopping. Citadines is conveniently located to give you both the comfort of home and the proximity of Makati’s lively community.
I certainly enjoyed my staycation weekend at the Citadines Salcedo Makati! I loved how comfortable my stay was and how close I was to the best of what Makati has to offer. If you are looking for the next place to spend your well-earned staycation or if you’re an international guest looking for a place you can call home in the Metro, I’d highly recommend Citadines Salcedo Makati. Aside from their topnotch service and amenities, Citadines goes the extra mile in keeping the Salcedo Village community alive and making sure that their guests also becomes a part it.
