Nobody does it like Disney.
It was my first time catching Disney On Ice and if I had to sum it up in one word, it would be MAGICAL. At my age of twenty-something, I am glad that I grew up sprinkled with the Disney magic. Me and my younger sister enjoyed the show so much like the other little kids who were present at the Araneta Coliseum last night.
Disney on Ice Magical Ice Festival is a two-hour spectacle featuring some of our Disney favorites singing and performing on ice — from Ariel of Little Mermaid to everyone’s favorite sisters from Arendelle, Anna and Elsa.
Enough talking, let me share with you some photos I took at the show last night!
First, we were introduced to the world of The Little Mermaid! It was so cool how they portrayed the story — on ice!! My favorite parts were when Ursula came out (I love her!), and also when Ariel transformed into a human.
Then the pub thugs from the Snuggly Duckling came out of the stage and sand “I’ve Got a Dream” with Rapunzel, I honestly squealed in delight. I looooooove and adore Tangled so much. Rapunzel and Flynn was so fun to watch.
When “I See The Light” started playing and the floating lanterns filled the stage, I knew my night was made.
But that didn’t there as after a short intermission, Gaston was on stage! It was time for Beauty and the Beast!
Being able to watch the BatB musical last year, we were so excited to see how they will do “Be Our Guest”. And hey, it was as fun, colorful, and magical! We loved the transformation of Beast into a prince! You have to keep an eye out for that part!
And the highlight of the show where the kids went crazy — FROZEN! The kids screamed to their utmost delight when Olaf came on stage! Everybody loves Olaf!
It was so cute to see them so excited, waving like there’s no tomorrow and calling out to Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and Kristoff.
Everyone was singing along (including us) when the Frozen cast performed the songs, “For the First Time in Forever”, Olaf’s “In Summer”,”Love is an Open Door”, and the ever popular “Let It Go”.
Complete with fake snow, an all too adorable Sven, the evil Hans, and an awesome set — it was a memorable show for the kids and those who are still kids at heart.
Today’s the last day of the Disney on Ice: Magical Ice Festival with shows at 10:30 am, 2:30pm, and 6:30pm at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. If you missed the DoI 2015, make sure you won’t miss the show this 2016!
