My 10 Favorite Photo Editing Apps That I Use on my Travel Photos

I love to take photos and I like to travel as well. So here are my 10 favorite photo editing apps that I regularly use on editing my travel photos:

1. SNAPSEED

Snapseed is a powerful photo editor developed by Google. It is on my top list as it is my all-around photo editor. It doesn’t have the filters similar to what VSCO can offer but it is very useful for image enhancement. Snapseed’s features include Tune Image, Details, Crop, Rotate, Transform, Brush, Selective Enhancement, Healing, Vignette, and Text. For Filters, there’s HDR Scape, Lens Blur, Noir, and a lot more. Snapseed is a must-have app in my opinion.

2. VSCO

VSCO is next on the list. I love it due to its superior range of really quality filters. VSCO’s an all-time favorite of Instagrammers worldwide. You can also publish your images for others to curate on your VSCO profile.

3. DARKROOM

Darkroom is not as popular as VSCO but it is my favorite in the past months and go-to app for quick edits as most of its filters suit my needs. I love Darkroom’s simple interface and the fact that you don’t need to import the photos to edit it.

4. RNI FILMS

I’ve just discovered RNI late last year yet immediately fell in love with it. RNI films was made to achieve that film look on digital images. Since I used to shoot analog too some years ago, RNI was quite the charmer for me. Its film filters include negatives, slides, instant, B&W, and vintage.

Available on iOS only.

5. RNI FLASHBACK

RNI Flashback is sort of like RNI except it doesn’t have a pre-defined set of filters, instead, it’s an easy just-press-the-button process and voila ~ it instantly applies a unique mix of filter on your photo.

Available on iOS only.

6. FOODIE

Even though Foodie is marketed to cater ‘food’ photos, it is actually an all-around photo editing app. But true to its name, its filters are great for food shots and it has a smart guide feature that helps you take top shot photos (hurray flatlays!)

7. AFTERLIGHT

Afterlight is one of those simple and straightforward photo editing app. It offers 15 adjustment tools, 74 filters and 78 textures. It also has the Fusion feature wherein you can create and save your own filters. One thing I also like with Afterlight is its double exposure tool.

9. MEXTURES

Ninth on my list is Mextures. It is one of those apps that gives you a wide range of photo editing capabilities and it also boasts of its non-destructive workflow. You can easily add layers of film grains, textures, light leaks, and gradients on your photos. You can easily add Formulas from other users and share yours as well.

10. SKRWT

SKRWT is a perspective- and lens-correction app that is great for fixing your photos. I love it because I can use it to fix lens distortions for shots taken with adapters, DLSRs, with a GoPro or a drone camera. If you’re one of us symmetry lovers, SKRWT is a must-have app. As its creators say, #AllHailSymmetry.
