Ilocos Chronicles: Baluarte ni Chavit

Welcome to Jurassic Park este Baluarte pala. πŸ˜€

Baluarte is 80 hectares of gently rolling terrains, hills and mountain sides, the structures of facilities and amenities, its phases of construction is in its best possible realistic and natural habitat for good and sound animal care. – source.

Dito ata ako pinaka-excited pumunta. Haha!

Zoos are my favorite, especially petting zoos. And Baluarte is a whole lot of fun. I can see this place improve in the next coming years. And more animals please!

My Little Pony Miniature Horse.

Entrance to Baluarte is free of charge (Yay!) but of course, donations are appreciated. You will be greeted by birds and miniature horses and maybe an ostrich!

Interacting with the pets is my favorite part of the zoo. Kids and kids at heart (a/k/a me) will enjoy Baluarte because of this.
An alpaca!

White Deer.

These geese owns the place like a boss. πŸ˜€

And did I mention ostriches just wander around the area? Fact. And I was even surprised by one. Haha! I was walking aimlessly then suddenly an ostrich popped up out of nowhere. It was a scary thought that he might attack me though.

I felt like a 7-year old on her first trip to the zoo. πŸ˜€

I guess this is one of Chavit’s pet Tigers.

And then it was announced that there will be an animal show — just imagine my joy upon hearing it. The first time I experienced an animal show was during our trip to Zoobic Safari and I truly regret that I didn’t volunteer πŸ™ but I made sure this time that I’ll give it a go.

I was hoping to get the Bearcat — but tadaaaaah!! I got a reptile. Haha! A huge Iguana. Honestly, I am not a fan. I think they are slimy, scale and just plain icky. But hey, it wasn’t so bad after all!

This ostrich was caught in the act of bullying an alpaca. Uso din pala bullying sa animal kingdom.

There are also camels around! This picture + sand dunes = Epic Win!

It gets crowded at noon so it’s best to go here early.
I hope they’ll acquire more animals so that it’ll be more fun — Baluarte is an example of a place that i’ll always come back to.
